Rabbitt reunion (minus one)

(With thanks, as always, to Cee.)

Duncan Faure posted a VERY interesting Facebook update yesterday accompanied by the cover of Rabbitt's third album...

Supposed to be a secret for me till Thursday but word already came in at 6am , Neil Cloud, powerhouse drummer of the world is in . 3 Rabbitts, a go , exiting news for a lot of us.

In the comments thread, when asked if Trevor was participating, Duncan replied:
We are best of friends again, so who knows perhaps one day.

As Duncan has recently toured South Africa with a backing band, it seems entirely obvious to me that a Rabbitt reunion tour would draw much enthusiasm from the generations of fans who treasure the band's legacy and remain fans of all four members.  Hopefully this means some new music from the lads as well.

Collector's Corner: not just your average signed guitar

Spotted on Instagram: a singular collectible is now on the market via memorabilia site Coast To Coast Collectibles - Trevor signed a Fender Squire model Stratocaster and inscribed it with the musical notation of that famous riff and the listing features a photo of Trevor signing the guitar (and the details indicate to me that it was a fairly recent signing).

update: Union 30 Live

About a week ago this video was posted on the Gonzo Multimedia YouTube channel regarding the boxset, featuring Jon Kirkman going over the contents of the prototype.  There has been another delay announced, and it looks like now the release date has been pushed back to the end of the month.

I daresay Kirkman is doing rather a better job of presenting than Wakey, but then again he's had more practice at it.  He also notes the "ruling" about unused footage being destroyed, which at least this time he does admit is a very strange practice.  But after seeing the miniature replica of the tour book, I still have to assert that you'd be far better off buying a copy from eBay if you don't already have one.

However, if you're interested in obtaining free digital files of the Mountain View show (and if you don't already have the original Union Live set), then you can sign up for the mailing list at the Music Glue storefront and they will send you a download link with a variety of formats available.
