A probing inquiry

As I noted previously, there is an article on ARW in issue 74 of PROG - a six-page feature chronicling the band's Los Angeles performance - and writer Fraser Lewry was particularly proud of his singular achievement...

You don't say...

Today's tweet from Rick is pretty much what I figure he and Trevor have been doing since the day they met.  And I'd add that the same applies for when they meet up in the middle of the stage during "Owner."

Media Watch: more vintage video

With thanks to my fellow Rabid Rabinite Judy Davis for sending me the link.

Here's another blast from the past...there is a bootleg which has been in trading circles for several years consisting of Second Unit/b-roll footage from MTV's coverage of Yes' performance at the Forest Hills Tennis Center in New York on August 29th, 1984.  However, the footage in circulation is barely watchable at best.  Today, a much better quality version of part of that footage - the soundcheck of "Hold On" - was posted on YouTube.  This footage also conclusively illustrates the involvement of Casey Young as a backing player for Tony Kaye, a particular credit which has been hotly-contested in fandom for a number of years.

Hopefully this means additional restored sections of the overall footage might be available in future, such as Trevor's interview with Martha Quinn.

Media Watch: Yes Dialogue now shipping!

As I've previously reported, the new Yes interview book Dialogue is definitely a thing and has now been delivered into the hands of grateful gleeful fans.  My fangirl heart is breaking to admit I am not one of them but that's not to say you wouldn't want this book if you can afford it because it looks damn spiffy.  Unfortunately it's beyond my budget but for a glossy-paged comprehensive coffee table book you couldn't ask for much more than this, and it is the cheaper paperback version of the previous Time And A Word: The Yes Interviews publication with lots of inclusive updates.  It's also a limited edition run, so you may not want to debate the purchase for too long.

Here is the link for information regarding the book at the Stereo33Books website:
https://stereo33books.com/yes-dialogues/

With many thanks to Yesfans member Eddie Yesongs, here are some images of Trevor-related content:

If you have purchased and received the book, hit me up on email to let me know what you think!  And if you'd like to review it for the blog (keeping in mind that I prefer the review be Trevor-centric), then I'd be happy to post your submissions.

Media Watch: new Billboard interview

Published today is an article with quotes from Jon and Trevor regarding the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, which reveals that Geddy Lee - who is a co-inductor for Yes at the April 7th ceremony - will be providing bass support for the rendition of "Roundabout" to be performed.

There's also a hopeful quote from Trevor regarding new music:
"I think by June, July we'll pretty much have half an album finished," Rabin reports. "It's very different from anything we've done before, which we're pretty happy about, hopefully breaking new ground, soundwise."
http://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/7717212/yes-jon-anderson-inducted-rock-hall-interview

Update: as can be seen in the article if you view now, The Hall of Fame has issued an official statement as regards Geddy Lee's participation; he will not be performing with Yes.
